Geriatric Certified Pharmacists
• With our focus on Long Term Care and Retirement communities, it is important that our pharmacists are well equipped with the knowledge and experience to provide superior services to your residents, their families and health care staff.
• Our pharmacists on location, check medication orders, resident profiles and communicate with the residents physician and nursing staff.
Clinical Pharmacists
• Our clinical pharmacists provide on-site support and education. They perform audits, in-services and create a direct line of communication between facility and pharmacy.
REGISTERED NURSES
Registered Nurses
• Our RN's provide a unique level of support to the residents and their health care staff. They conduct on-site clinics, and set up an education schedule on topics and issues specified by each facility.
CUSTOMER SERVICE / BILLING
Customer Service / Billing Department
• As is the duty of our pharmacists to be sure that each medication dispensed is error-free, our billing staff will make sure that each statement is accurate prior to being sent to the resident or their family. In order to allow the nursing staff to focus on providing each resident with the care they need, our billing personnel are available to residents and their families to answer any pharmacy related questions they may have.
Third Party Billing
• Our Third Party Billing Department will do all they can to assist residents with regards to medications not covered under the ODB. By Classic Care ensuring that the correct forms are filed, and by following up on this on a regular basis, residents will avoid paying for medications they don't necessarily have to.
TECHNICIANS
Certified Pharmacy Technicians
• An integral part of the dispensing process is updating and maintaining each resident's profile. Entering the orders and ensuring they are accurate is part of the safe and efficient dispensing system used by Classic Care Pharmacy.
MAR / Quarterly Department
• Each MAR copy that is returned to the pharmacy is used to update and maintain each resident's profile on a monthly basis. If there are any questions or concerns by the pharmacy, the physician will be contacted in order to make sure the issue is corrected.
• Quarterlies are checked by our pharmacists and their suggestions and notes are included for the benefit of the resident's physician.
